Worship and Liturgy
Altar Servers Altar servers must be at least in the 3rd grade, and have received First Eucharist. Training is required. Contact: E. J. Degen, 224-1798 or edmund.degen@us.army.mil.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist These ministers serve at each Mass. Assignments are made several months in advance. Training is required. Contact: Ann Marie Batten, 850-3310.
Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick They visit shut-ins, those in nursing homes, and hospital patients, as needed. Training required. Contact: Fr. Sousa, 722-9855.
Lectors Readers are needed for each Mass. Training is available and scheduling is done for several months in advance. Contact: Joanne Walsh, 223-4200.
Ushers/Greeters Welcoming people at the doors, both before and after Mass, seating people, and taking up collections are all duties of this ministry. Contact: Parish Office, 722-9855
Liturgical Arts & Environment The committee contributes to the celebration of the liturgy through the enhancement of the church by maintaining the appropriate liturgical colors and seasonal decorations. The committee meets before feast days and major church seasons. Fresh garden flowers are always welcome. Special floral memorials or commemorations may be arranged. Contact: M. E. Rhodes, 851-3226.
Liturgy Committee This committee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Members assist the pastor with the planning and implementation of the liturgy and worship. Contact: Ann Marie Batten, 850-3310
Music
Sat. 5:00 pm mass – Cantor, traditional
Sun. 9:30 am mass – Senior Choir, traditional
Each mass has its own unique style of music, both in selection and presentation. The Saturday 5:00 pm mass is cantored by Shannon McCall, with John Siderius playing the organ. Additional vocalists or instrumentalists, including an uillean piper, participate for special feast days or occasions. You will hear an eclectic blend of Gregorian chant, Taize, spirituals, folk songs, classical and traditional hymns. Contact: John Siderius, 373-0290 or Shannon McCall, 245-5822
The 9:30 Sunday mass features our Senior Choir, with Martin Cruz as organist. They sing traditional hymns. Rehearsal times vary. Contact: Anne-Marie Marivoet, 723-0069 or Martin Cruz, 827-1977.
Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
There is a communal celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick at each of the weekend Masses once a year, near All Saints Day. Anyone in need of this sacrament may call the office at any time. Contact: Fr. Sousa, 722-9855
Adult Education
This group is for adults who wish to learn more about their faith. There are fall and spring semesters, with 7 sessions. Meetings are 7:30-9:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

Women of Faith
These ladies meet on Thursdays at 9:30 am (except in the summer) in the Parish Hall. The aim of the Women of Faith group is to deepen their love for our Lord and His Church through study of scripture and the catechism, prayer, and fellowship. Childcare is available. The group is always open to new members.

Religious Education
Catholic religious education for children in grades 1-12 is offered from September through March. Registration begins in August and extends throughout the school year. Classes are held on Sundays from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m.
The Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist are offered to children in the 2nd grade and up. The Sacrament of Confirmation is offered to high school students.
Catechists, assistants, arts and crafts people, confirmation retreat mentors, and others are needed. Contact: Erin Kearney-Lazar, 722-9855.
R.C.I.A.
This program is for adults seeking information or wishing to become members of the Catholic Church. They meet weekly at a time determined by the group. Adults are received into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Contact: Fr. Sousa, 722-9855
Baptism
The Baptism of infants is normally done at the weekend Mass regularly attended by the family, or at a time convenient to the family. Parental preparation sessions are required. Contact: Parish office, 722-9855
Justice and Peace Committee
This committee supports direct service, advocacy, and community organizing to empower poor and vulnerable people.
H.E.L.P. Food Pantry
Our local H.E.L.P. (Hampton Ecumenical Lodging and Provisions) Food Pantry accepts our donations of money, canned and non-perishable goods on a regular basis, which are then distributed to those in need in our community. Donations may be brought to all Masses on the 3rd Sunday of each month, or anytime to the office. Contact: Barbara Wild, 851-3882
Bay View Community
Bay View is a small community located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Our parish has been involved for several years by helping with donations of food, clothing, and household goods. Contact: Sidney Bell, 723-1208
Parish Disability Advocacy
The Disability Advocate is available to assist parishioners with disabilities, both permanent and temporary, to be as active in parish life and the celebration of Mass as each individual wishes. Contact: Barbara Kelly, 930-0564

Parish Council
The Parish Council works with the pastor to provide leadership for the parish. The Parish Council is composed of 8 elected members, serving staggered 2-year terms.
